Silver Lining Estate is an educational website for California families who are settling an estate or have inherited property. Its guides explain the estate settlement process, probate, executor and trustee responsibilities, inherited property, belongings, taxes and valuation, and the decisions that come next.

Every estate is different, but most families face a similar series of questions. The guides take those questions in the order they usually arise.
